Electric hook up pitches

 

There are a small number of spacious grass electric pitches, suitable for, motorhomes, campervans, tents, roof top tents and small trailer tents.

 

The pitches are spaced out over a large area and each pitch is roughly 10m x 10m.

 

Non - Electric pitches for camping vehicles

 

There are a small number of spacious grass non - electric pitches, suitable for, camper-vans, motorhomes, roof top tents and small trailer tents.

The Meadow 

 

The meadow is a large grass area for tents. There is the flexibility to pitch up anywhere you like in the meadow within the mowed areas. 

We provide wheelbarrows to carry your belongings from your car to your pitch. The parking is situated on the camping field as we do not allow cars to drive through the tents. 

 

There is no limit to how many tents you have on each pitch

Our bathroom facilities are brand new. Both the male and female bathroom's have three showers, toilets and sinks to give you a clean luxury space while you are staying at the site.

 

We are only a 10 minute walk from the beach and Southwold pier

Important information before you book:

 

- Prices may vary over the bank holidays and specific weekends. 

- All bookings must be made through the website,

we do not take bookings over the phone or via email. 

- We do not accept unaccompanied U18s on site

- We are not permitted to accommodate caravans on site 

- 'Electric'/'Non - electric' pitches are a minimum cost of 2 persons/night

- There is no access onto the meadow for vehicles

Our Campsite Policies 

  • Any dogs that are brought onto the campsite are to be kept on a lead at all times and under control. To ensure the safety of everyone at the site and of the animals. We have a zero - tolerance policy with disruptive dogs and adherence to the dogs on lead policy. 

  • Quiet hours between 10pm and 7am. Disruptive guest will be asked to leave 

  • If you are camping with children, please ensure that they are supervised at all times and they are following camping etiquette. 

  • Please respect our campsite perimeters - due to high risk the farm is strictly out of bounds. Do not Trespass.

  • Please leave all campsite facilities and the pitch areas in a clean and tidy state. 

  • Be respectful to your camping neighbour. Do not set up camp on top of them: maintain a respectful distance from them and try not to obscure other campers views. 

  • No open flames inside the tents 

  • Fires are only allowed to be made in suitable fire pits. - See our fire pit/bowl specifications below. 

  • Please place all your rubbish in the bins provided. Any broken camping equipment must be taken home or you will be charged a disposal fee.

 

By respecting other campers and the environment, you can ensure that you'll be a great camping neighbour. Plus you can help to make our campsite fun for everyone by setting an example for other campers and avoiding unnecessary stress. Be respectful of other campers and their privacy, keep noise levels down, use your car appropriately, clean up after yourself and dispose of waste properly - then you and your fellow campers can all enjoy your holidays.

Our Fire Pit/Bowl Specifications

To ensure the safety of all our guests and to protect the environment, the following requirements must be met if you wish to bring a fire pit/bowl on site during your stay with us.

 

Please read carefully before your arrival, thank you for your cooperation.

 

YOUR FIRE PIT/BOWL MUST:

 

BE FULLY SELF CONTAINED:

  • Made of steel, cast iron or a non-combustible material

  • NO GROUND FIRES PERMMITTED

  • Must not allow embers, ash or coal to fall on the ground

BE ELEVATED OFF THE GROUND:

  • Must be a minimum clearance of 30cm from the ground  

  • Must have legs or a stand – of complete stability

  • No direct contact with any campsite surface

  • Must have a fire-retardant mat underneath at all times (these can be found on Amazon very inexpensively)

HAVE A SOLID BASE OR ASH CATCHER:

  • Must include a solid bottom plate

  • Must prevent ash or hot debris from escaping

BE OF A SUITABLE SIZE:

  • Must be easily manageable and not oversized

  • Max Diameter – 600mm

NOT PERMITTED ON SITE:

  • Open ground fires

  • Fire Pits dug into the soil

  • Makeshift or homemade fire pits/bowls that do not meet the above requirements

  • Large bonfire style setups

  • Fire bowls placed directly on grass

  • No open flames inside tents

 

APPROVED FUEL TYPES:

  • Clean, dry fire-wood

  • Heat beads/cooking charcoal (for cooking use only)

We understand that camping comes with a lot of packing!! So we can save you the worry of fire-wood. We have fire-wood available to buy in bags from reception between the hours of 8am – 5pm.

 

SAFTEY REQUIRMENTS

  • A bucket of water must be kept nearby at all times

  • Fires must be always supervised by a responsible adult

  • Fires must be fully extinguished before retiring for the evening/night

  • Fires are not permitted under any circumstance during a SITE FIRE BAN (you will be notified if the site is under one)

  • No open flame inside a tent

 

SITE PROTECTION

  • A fire-retardant mat must always be underneath your fire pit/bowl

  • Ash must be completely cooled and removed or disposed of in the designated ASH BIN – this is located on the concrete by the bins

  • Any damage to the campsite grounds may incur repair charges

 

CAMPSITE AUTHORTY

Management reserve the right to:

  • Inspect your fire pit/bowl 

  • Prohibit use if deemed unsafe

  • Ban fires during high-risk weather conditions​​
